Turkey: Newcomers Altekma shock Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe play a tie-break second match in a row!

The newcomers Altekma stunned Galatasaray HDI Sigorta in Round 3 of the 2020/21 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season.
After nearly shocking Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta in the previous round, they went all the way in a duel against other favorites in Round 3.
The club from İzmir downed Galatasaray in five sets, partially 23:25, 25:22, 25:23, 26:24, and 15:12. Brazilian Hugo Hamacher was the top scorer for Altekma with 24 points, while Burutay Subaşı collected 26 points for Galatasaray, while Doğukan Ulu made 6 winning blocks.
In the other matches, Fenerbahçe needed five sets to record a victory for the second match in a row. Tokat, also thanks to 30 points with 62% in attack for the opposite of the Qatar national team Geraldo Graciano Da Silva Filho, manage to push the match at tie break.
Sorgun Bld. finally comes out of quarantine, but the season debut is completely to be forgotten: a 3-1 defeat at the modest Istanbul BBSK.
Only 6 days after the injury against TFL Altekma, Cuban Bisset returns to the field but, also due to the bad day of compatriot Hernandez Carbonell, Haliliye is overwhelmed by Afyon who is not affected by the absence of Argentine Bruno Lima.
The predictable 3-0 of Spor Toto closes the picture (from the 2nd set on the field with the second lines) against Arhavi.
