Austria: Sokol tie serie for 5th place by beating Ried in four sets

Even if DenizBank AG VL title have already been won by UVC Holding Graz, the championship is not quite over yet, as TJ Sokol Wien V were able to force a decisive third game for fifth place with a 3:1 (25:14, 25:23, 25:27, 25:17) home win over UVC Weberzeile Ried on Saturday evening, and VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt needs to win two sets against VBC TLC Weiz on Sunday to fix seventh place.

In addition to the last placement games, there are also matches for relegation: TSV Hartberg played their first game on Saturday evening, beating Union St. Pölten away in three very balanced sets (25:23, 26:24, 26:24), while the second leg will be next Wednesday.
