Poland: Méndez debuts on Resovia’s bench with a win. Three points also for Belchatow

Asseco Resovia Rzeszów ended the year in a victorious way by beating Cuprum Lubin in four sets in Round 13 of the 2021/22 Polish Plusliga, with the debut of legendary Argentine expert Marcelo Méndez on the bench. Partially it was 20:25, 25:23, 27:29 and 23:25.
The Rzeszów side was a favorite in this match, but this season it has failed in justifying this role several times.
However, that was not the case tonight as the shock therapy that followed replacing Alberto Giuliani with Méndez bore fruits, at least, for now.
Lubin wasted a 20-16 lead in the fourth set and an opportunity to reach 2-2.
With 19 points, Slovenian Klemen Čebulj led the quintet of Resovia players in double digits in scoring. Him compatriot Jan Kozamernik made five blocks.

All easy for PGE Skra Betchatów, who defeats Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom on the road with a clear 0-3 (20:25, 19:25, 22:25), with Kooy back in the sextet.
