Italy: Modena close to another comeback in a big match in which Perugia prevail at tie-break. Victory also for Trento, Civitanova, Vibo and Milano

In first match of the day, all easy for super favorite Itas Trentino, currently at third place in the current charts, who defeat newcomers Gioiella Prisma Taranto in only three sets (25:22, 25:19, 25:14) in one hour of effective play.

Straight sets win also for 2nd Cucine Lube Civitanova, on the field of last-placed Consar RCM Ravenna (18:25, 20:25, 21:25), and for a great Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, who defeats Verona Volley (26:24, 25:14, 25:23).

In big match of the day, 4th-placed Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena tried to achieve the same venture as a week ago against Itas Trentino, but the leaders of Sir Safety Conad Perugia managed to reject the attempt of comeback from Andrea Giani’s guys.
Perugia came to a success today by suffering more than expected.
They took the first 2 sets but they wasted them (especially wasted a very nervous 4th set in which they were 5 points ahead) and risked a defeat.
However, Modena failed to complete the comeback and is no longer in possession of a huge winning streak in the league, which stopped at 11 games. Cuban-Polish Wilfredo León top-scored Perugia with 25 points, including 4 aces, while Argentine Sebastián Solé made 4 blocks.

Close the picture another straight sets win, the one of Allianz Milano on the field of Top Volley Cisterna (21:25, 11:25, 24:26).
