Italy: a great Cisterna defeat Modena at tie break. Three points for Verona in advances of Round 23

Two advances of Italian SuperLega CredemBanca Round 23 or, if you prefer Round 10 of second leg, were played on Saturday.
In first, Verona Volley needed four sets to beat last-placed and still winless Consar RCM Ravenna (21:25, 15:25, 26:24, 20:25), to take three very important points to avoid relegation. The winners were better above all in blocking, with 15 points from this element. Mozic was named MVP of the match with 24 points, well supported by Jensen, who also contributed with 21.
On the other, a great Top Volley Cisterna defeat super favorite Leo Shoes PerkinElmer Modena at tie break (31:33, 12:25, 25:19, 25:17, 8:15) in a match with lot of up and downs in both sides.
Heavy points are those that Modena loses at home, which perhaps put an end to the idea of being able to race for 3rd place over Trento. Heavy points for Cisterna too, 2 which are worth double for salvation, and which could even mean the possible entry into the play off zone.
In the first two sets the winners did everything better. Then the return of Modena which takes advantage of the decline of rivals. Coach Giani shuffles the cards in the third and fourth set, also removing Ngapeth, but in the tie break, on 8-7 at the change of field, Modena no longer even scores a single point: from 8-7 Cisterna scores a 0-8 partial, up to 8-15, which brings Modena out among the whistles of the home fans. MVP of the match Rinaldi, top scorer among the winners with 24 points (the same number on the other side of the net for Nimir), well supported by Maar (21) and Dirlic (20), but this is really a great team victory.
