Last day of 2022 FIVB World Championship Pool Stage opened in Ljubljana with an half upset in a match valid for Pool F! In the morning, in fact, super favorite Argentina needed five sets to defeat Egypt (27:25, 26:28, 24:26, 25:17, 15:6)! But Argentina is one of the best four third placed qualified for knockout stage!
The Tokyo Olympics bronze medallists surely entered the last day of pool play under pressure, after consecutive five-set defeats to Iran and the Netherlands.
Opposite Bruno Lima, with 23 points, middle blocker Agustin Loser, with 19, and outside hitter Facundo Conte, with 18 were the most prolific players on the winning side, while outside hitter Ahmed Shafik put down 16 points on the other side of the net.

In second match of the day, valid for Pool E, Türkiye write history! For the first time in four World Championship participations, Türkiye have made it successfully through the first pool phase of the tournament. In the clash for the second available Round of 16 spot in Pool E , they prevailed over Canada to claim a 3-0 (25:23, 25:23, 25:17) victory and progress on a 2-1 win-loss record. Adis Lagumdzija was the most prolific player of the match scoring 17 points. In addition to the ace he delivered for 18-12 in the third set, he made 16 points in attack at a 53% success rate, including the match winner.
The day continued with a great Netherlands who defeat Iran by 1-3 (22:25, 25:21, 20:25, 18:25) to take the top spot of Pool F while close the picture the victory as prediction of Italy (leaders of Pool E) and China. The match ended with a clear 3-0, partially 25:14, 25:10 and 25:14.
