Russia: Lokomotiv re-open semifinal series by beating Kazan 3-0. Placement Round and Play Out

In Game 3 of best-of-five semifinal series of 2022/23 PARI Суперлига мужчины, Russian Superliga, No.4 Lokomotiv Novosibirsk hosted regular season winners Zenit Kazan in what was the first match of the series played in the capital of Siberia.

After two defeats in Kazan, Plamen Konstantinov’s side could count from the very first minutes of the match on the recovered Drazen Luburic appeared on the court, who returned to the team’s starting lineup after being forced to miss the Kazan matches for injury, and was decisive in this game, well supported by Kurbanov and Kurkaev.
The game ended by 3-0 (25:18, 27:25, 25:23), and with it ended also the impressive winning streak of Kazan, consisting of 34 matches!

About Play Outs, starting today, Neftyanik Orenburg defeat Stroitel Minsk 3-0 (25:22, 25:20, 25:21), and the same did Yugra-Samotlor Nizhnevartovsk, who defeat at home Nova Novokuybyshevsk with the same result and struggling only in first set (27:25, 25:13, 25:19).
