Russia: Zenit Kazan first finalist. Lokomotiv defeated after a comeback from 2-0 in decisive Game 4

Leaders of 2022/23 PARI Π‘ΡƒΠΏΠ΅Ρ€Π»ΠΈΠ³Π° ΠΌΡƒΠΆΡ‡ΠΈΠ½Ρ‹, Russian Superliga, Zenit Kazan is the first team to qualify for final, and they did it after a great comeback from 2-0 on the field of No.4 Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, who re-open the series on Friday following a great straight sets win. Today, however, after two great sets, they collapsed and suffere the rivals’ comeback: 2-3 (25:21, 25:23, 21:25, 20:25, 13:15).
Maxim Mikhailov ended the game as top scorer with 22 points, but decisive also the performance in blocking, 17 for Kazan (6 for Dmitry Volkov and 5 for Deroo) to 8.
Interestingly, this was the match number 6 between Zenit-Kazan and Lokomotiv, and the score is 5-1 in favor of today’s winners!
The final series starts in Kazan with matches on May 1 and May 3.

In Playoffs 5th/8th Place Belogorie Belgorod win the series 3-1 by winning in four sets on the field of ASK Nizhny Novgorod (25:17, 21:25, 24:26, 24:26) while, in Play Out, away victories for Neftyanik Orenburg, 1-3 on the field of Nova Novokuybyshevsk (19:25, 25:22, 22:25, 20:25), and Yugra-Samotlor Nizhnevartovsk, who inflicted another heavy defeat to Stroitel Minsk, 0-3 (12:25, 21:25, 23:25).
