Russia: ASK Nizhny Novgorod part ways with Croatian opposite Leo Andrić
1 min read
Russian Superliga team ASK Nizhny Novgorod announced the departure of Croatian opposite Leo Andrić.
The player, who had previously played for the same club during the 2021/22 season, rejoined the team this summer.
He was expected to replace Pavel Zheleznyakov, who had transferred to Zenit St. Petersburg but, unfortunately, Andrić came back with a leg injury and faced complications.
Although initially optimistic, doctors concluded that his recovery would require an extended period and, consequently, they both reached a mutual decision to part ways.
The official statement from ASK expressed their best wishes for their player, hoping for his quick recovery and eventual return to the volleyball court.
And now the club has started the search for a new foreign opposite.
