BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, in fact, celebrated a thrilling win on the field of Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle – 2-3 (25:20, 17:25, 25:20, 17:25, 19:21), led by setter and MVP Marcin Komenda who sent 4 of his players in double digit: Alexandre Ferreira and Mateusz Malinowski, top scorers with 25 and 24 points respectively, Tobias Brand, with 18, and Jan Nowakowski, who added 10. Lukasz Kaczmarek’s efforts, top scorer of the game with 29 points to his name weren’t enough for a ZAKSA again penalized by injuries and absences.
The day continued with another away win, the one of Projekt Warszawa against a today disappointed Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. The game ended in fact in just three sets, 0-3 (19:25, 22:25, 22:25), with the winners able to control the game from start to finish, and literally to stop the rivals, scoring as many as 14 points in blocking in just three sets (only 2 for Aluron).
MVP of the game a very good Artur Szalpuk, who scored 18 points for the team from country’s capital through 63% in attack and 3 of his team’s 4 aces, well supported by Bartłomiej Bołądź who added 14 and Frenchman Kevin Tillie who also contributed with 10. His compatriot, Trevor Clevenot, was the most prolific player on the other side of the net with 14 points.
