Perugia and Sada Cruzeiro won their games at the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship

Defending champions Sir Sicoma Perugia started their 2023 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Club World Championship campaign with a victory in their first Pool A match, dominating Brazil’s Itambé Minas in straight sets (25:18, 26:24, 25:22).
Kamil Semeniuk with 11 points and Oley Plotnytskiy with 8 points were their most prolific player for the winners while, despite the loss, Paulo Vinicios Ferreira from Minas emerged as the match’s top scorer with 17 points.
In Pool B, Brazil’s Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei overcame Japan’s Suntory Sunbirds 3-2 (25:21, 31:29, 28:30 22:25, 15:12), with Cuban Miguel Angel López scoring a impressive amount of 31 points!
Despite the loss, the Sunbirds secured a spot in the semifinals, setting the stage for a match between Sada and Halkbank Spor Kulübü to determine the second team to advance.
The competition continues in Bengaluru, with semifinals scheduled for Saturday and the medal matches concluding the event on Sunday.
