Round 24 of 2023/24 Plusliga or, if you prefer, 9 of second leg, has been completed today with last two scheduled games.
Leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel dominated Bogdanka LUK Lublin with a clear 3-0 (25:21, 25:15, 25:23) victory. Tomasz Fornal, Norbert Huber, and Jean Patry each scored 13 points, contributing to their team’s success, with Marko Sedlacek adding 12 points. Jastrzębski Węgiel’s superior blocking performance (14-5, with 7 points only from Huber) was decisive in final result, while libero Jakub Popiwczak was awarded MVP of the game.
In the second one, Ślepsk Malow Suwałki faced a tough battle on the field of No.3 Projekt Warszawa, ultimately falling 1-3 (14:25, 25:14, 27:29, 18:25). Despite a slow start, the hosts managed to secure a win in the second set and put up a strong fight in a closely contested third one. Bartłomiej Bołądź led the winners with 23 points to his name, followed by Artur Szalpuk who added 16 through 55% in attack and MVP title, while Kévin Tillie also contributed with 13 and Yurii Semeniuk with 10. The most prolific players on the other side of the net were Bartosz Filipiak (20), Ziga Stern (19), and Paweł Halaba (16).
