Poland: Resovia and Katowice win advances of Round 28

Round 28 of 2023/24 Plusliga or, if you prefer, Round 13 of second leg, started today with first two games.
In the first one, No.4 in regular season and CEV Cup winners Asseco Resovia Rzeszów celebrated a straight sets win over KGHM Cuprum Lubin, 3-0 (25:23, 25:22, 25:17).
MVP and top scorer of the game Torey Defalco author of 16 points through 65% in attack, 2 winning blocks and 1 ace.
In the evening, GKS Katowice celebrated a 3-2 (20:25, 25:19, 26:28, 25:18, 15:13) home win over Barkom Każany Lwów to jump from 15th to 12th place in the standings.
In a game with lot of ups and downs in both sides, the winners were led in score by MVP Lukas Vasina, top scorer of the match with 26 points to his name through 63% in attack and 1 ace, and Jakub Jarosz, who added 22 with 1 ace, 1 block and 59% in attack. Luciano Palonsky was the most prolific player on the other side of the net with 20 points.
Round 28 will continue tomorrow with other two games: PSG Stal Nysa will welcome No.2 Projekt Warszawa while, in the evening, Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle will face Ślepsk Malow Suwałki in a decisive clash to enter playoffs zone.
