Slovenia: ACH Volley Ljubljana claims 20th title in thrilling five-set victory

In Slovenian playoff final series, ACH Volley Ljubljana successfully defended their national champion title by defeating Calcit Volley in the third match with a score of 3-2, partially 28:26, 24:26, 25:20, 22:25 and 15:12.
This victory at their Tivoli Arena marked their 20th Slovenian championship, culminating a series that they dominated by 3-0 overall.
From the very start of the game, the winners showed determination, led by Jan Pokeršnik, who scored 29 points including crucial aces and blocks, and Alen Šket who also contributed with 24 points.
The match witnessed several momentum shifts, especially in the final set where the team from from country’s capital set the pace early, leading to a decisive 15-12 win in the set.
Calcit Volley, not without their moments, saw a standout performances from Lazaro Llanes Brunet, top scorer of the match with as many as 30 points, and Dimitar Dulčev who added 23 points.
Despite their efforts and a second-set win, they couldn’t sustain their advantage, allowing Ljubljana to capitalize on crucial points.
The match concluded with ACH Volley securing their sole trophy of the season, while Calcit Volley had previously won the Slovenian Cup and the MEVZA League.
