Germany: Berlin Recycling Volleys crowned German Champions for the 14th time

Berlin Recycling Volleys claimed their 14th German Volleyball Championship title after a commanding 3-0 (25:16, 25:16, 25:17) victory over VfB Friedrichshafen in the playoff final series at a full-packed Max-Schmeling-Halle, in front of 8,553 volleyball fans.
From the outset, the home team absorbed the energy of the arena, converting it into a strong start, and never looked back.
Czech Marek Sotola was the most prolofic player with 17 points, including 3 winning blocks and a 67% attack success rate, while Frenchman Timothée Carle also contributed significantly with 15 points.
The victory was especially sweet as it came after a challenging series, with both teams previously tied at 2-2 in wins and 9-9 in sets.
The match also marked a historic moment as the team from country’s capital set a new record for the most championships won by a team in the German league’s history!
