Paris 2024 Olympic Games: are you ready for a thrilling volleyball tournament?

Starting exacly tomorrow, on Saturday July 27 2024, the South Paris Arena 1 will host the world’s elite volleyball teams who will compete for the tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The competition begins with pool stage, in which 12 teams are divided into three pools. Then thetop two teams from each pool, together with the two best third-placed competitors, will advance to the prestigious quarterfinals.

In Pool A hosts France, Slovenia, Canada, Serbia will face each others.
Of course defending Olympic champions France aim to defend their title on their home soil, while Slovenia, after winning Pool Stage of 2024 Volleyball Nations League (but defeated by Japan in semifinals, and then also by Poland in decisive game for Bronze Medal in Łódź) hopes for a medal.
Canada, with an expert lineup, and after winning Pan American Volleyball Cup, looks to make a deep run, while Serbia aim to be a strong contender if they will reach the knockout stage.

Pool B is between Poland, Italy, Brazil and Egypt. The first one, Poland, VNL 2024 winners as well as European Champions, is the top-ranked team, and aim first medal in 48 years, while Italy, the reigning world champions, and Brazil, both with a prestigious Olympic history, promise exciting clashes. Egypt, on the other hand, although the underdog of the tournament, aim to surprise as they have in the past as the only representatives for Africa.

In Pool C USA, Argentina, Japan, Germany will face each others.
The USA brings an experienced squad aiming for Gold medal, while Argentina, bronze medalists from Tokyo, seek to improve their result with another podium finish.
Japan, with impressive recent performances, is a serious medal contender, while Germany looks to disrupt the favorites and advance to the knockout stage too.

The tournament runs from July 27 to August 11, with matches taking place almost every day, in what was probably one of the most competitive and exciting volleyball tournaments in history.
