Russia: all results of Round 8 – Zenit Kazan won big match against Dynamo Moscow and the others

Round 8 of 2024/25 Superliga has been completed today with last game between Yenisey Krasnoyarsk and Gazprom-Yugra Surgut, ended by 3-1 (25:19, 21:25, 25:20, 25:22) in favor of the home team.
On Friday, in the game that opened the Round, NOVA Novokuybyshevsk prevailed on the field ASK Nizhny Novgorod with a hard-fought 0-3 (22:25, 26:28, 24:26).
To the top of the standings Zenit Kazan with 20 points who, on Sunday, won on the field Dynamo Moscow the direct clash for first place with the score of 1-3 (18:25, 19:25, 28:26, 14:25). The team from country’s capital now is second with 17 points, along with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, who won at tie break on the field of Dynamo LO, 2-3 (25:22, 12:25, 22:25, 25:23, 8:15).
Behind them Dynamo Ural with 16, who also celebrated an away win, 0-3 (19:25, 21:25, 23:25), on the field of Fakel Novyi Urengoy.
Three points and away win for Belogorie Belgorod, who celebrated a 0-3 (23:25, 23:25, 19:25) win on the field of Neftyanik Orenburg, and for Kuzbass Kemerovo, on the field
of Zenit St. Petersburg, by 1-3 (19:25, 25:22, 18:25, 20:25).
The 9th round of the Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship begins on Thursday with an exciting match in St. Petersburg, where the home team, Zenit St. Petersburg, will face Zenit Kazan.
In the regular season, teams will play in a double round-robin format, with one match against each opponent at home and away. The top four teams will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while the next eight teams will compete in an additional playoff round.
