Russia: all results of Round 9 – Zenit Kazan still unbeaten

Round 9 of 2024/25 Russian Superliga, started on Thursday, has been completed today with last game between Dynamo Moscow and NOVA Novokuybyshevsk, ended by 3-1 (25:16, 23:25, 25:16, 25:18) in favor of the home team.
Zenit Kazan maintained their perfect record in the SuperLiga by defeating Zenit St. Petersburg 3-0 (26:24, 25:19, 25:22) after a tightly contested match, especially in the first set, but St. Petersburg was penalized by a high number of service errors, committing as many as 24 throughout the game!
Zenit Kazan’s Dmitriy Volkov, with 15 points, delivered an exceptional performance with a 90% success rate in attacks, scoring 13 out of 14 attempts, while Mikhail Labinskii added 11. Uladzislau Babkevich was the top scorer with for Saint Petersburg with 19 points, followed by Marlon Yant who also contributed with 12 for the home team.
Other results included the straight sets win of Yenisey Krasnoyarsk over Neftyanik Orenburg, 3-0 (27:25, 25:18, 25:23), and Dynamo Ural who down Dynamo LO with the same result, 3-0 (25:19, 25:22, 26:24).
Also on Saturday all the winners earned 3 points: Kuzbass Kemerovo defeated Gazprom-Yugra Surgut also in three sets, 3-0 (25:20, 26:24, 25:23), and the same did Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, who trampled over newcomers MGTU Moscow by 3-0 (25:15, 25:16, 25:16), while Belogorie Belgorod needer five sets to prevail over Fakel Novyi Urengoi, partially 25:20, 25:23, 23:25 and 25:17.
