Round 5 of 2024/25 SMS Group Efeler League saw an intense showdown with current leaders Galatasaray HDI Sigorta faced Halkbank at the TVF Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall.
Galatasaray claimed victory in a thrilling 3-2 (18:25, 25:16, 17:25, 25:12, 18:16) match, marking their fifth consecutive win and securing an unbeaten lead in the league, with 13 points in the standings.
Behind them with 11 Spor Toto, who recorded an epic 3-1 (19:25, 25:22, 28:26, 25:23) success over Fenerbahçe Medicana, and Ziraat Bankkart with 10, who suffered a heavy home defeat, 0-3 (23:25, 14:25, 21:25) against Arkas Spor, who achieved their first win of the season at their TVF Ziraat Bankkart Volleyball Hall.
This victory brings the Izmir-based team’s point total to 5.
3 points also for Türşad, who defeated at home Akkuş Belediyesi by 3-0 (25:23, 25:17, 31:29), and Cizre Bld., who needed four sets to win on the field of Altekma, 1-3 (19:25, 25:19, 23:25, 23:25).
Close the picture the 3-2 (27:29, 24:26, 25:20, 30:28, 15:12) success of On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor over newcomers Istanbul Gençlik Spor, who earned their first point in Turkey’s elite competition.
