Poland: Paweł Zatorski ends his season with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów early due surgery
1 min read
Paweł Zatorski, one of PlusLiga’s best liberos and Olympic silver medalist, will undergo hip surgery this Friday, officially ending his 2024/25 season in Asseco Resovia Rzeszów’s jersey prematurely.
Despite his injury, he appeared briefly in yesterday’s Plusliga game against MKS Będzin, meeting league requirements for a medical transfer.
The 34-year-old’s absence is a significant blow to the club he joined in 2021, and that he has helped secure a PlusLiga bronze medal and a CEV Cup win.
His illustrious career also includes five Polish championships and two World Championship titles with Poland’s national team.
Now, as Resovia searches for a replacement, he starts a long road to recovery, leaving a gap not only in Asseco Resovia, but also in the hearts of volleyball fans.
