Poland: 2 points for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Bełchatów and Barkom, who stun leaders Jastrzębski!

Round 16 of 2024/25 Plusliga continued today with other three games, all ended at tie break.
The day started with the success of Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie on the field of BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, in a direct clash for third place, 2-3 (18:25, 25:18, 19:25, 25:21, 12:15).
In front of more than 4000 volleyball fans, the winners were led in score by MVP Aaron Russell, who left the court with 23 points to his name through 55% in attack and 2 blocks, well supported by Karol Butryn who added 22 through 44% in attack, 1 block and 5 aces, the same number of points tallied by Wilfredo Leon for the home team (61% in attack and 2 aces).
Five sets win also PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów over Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, 3-2 (25:17, 15:25, 19:25, 30:28, 17:15), despite 28 points from a very good Jan Hadrava, (2 aces, 3 blocks and 51% in attack). However, the home team made the difference in blocking, scoring as many as 18 points from this element!
Miran Kujundžić was named MVP of the game with 24 points to his name through 54% in attack, 4 blocks and 1 ace.
The sensation of the day, however, came in the evening, when Barkom Każany Lwów won on the field of current leaders as well as titleholders Jastrzębski Węgiel, 2-3 (20:25, 25:27, 25:21, 25:13, 13:15)!
Round 16 will continue tomorrow with other two games: PSG Stal Nysa will welcome Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, while Ślepsk Malow Suwałki will face Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa.
