Champions League: 4th week continues – all results of Wednesday

Fourth week of 2024/25 CEV Champions League continued today with other 7 games.
After the straight sets success of Pool A PGE Projekt Warszawa over ACH Volley Ljubljana, also their closest pursuers Germany’s Berlin Recycling Volleys earned 3 points after a victory over Greenyard Maaseik from Belgium, 3-1 (25:12, 21:25, 25:22, 25:19), with 28 points from Jake Hanes (1 ace and 64% in attack).
In Pool B, Greece’s Olympiacos Piraeus stays in contention with a dominant win in Germany, on the field of Helios Grizzlys Giesen, 0-3 (20:25, 23:25, 19:25) to keep their playoff hopes alive, led by Aleksandar Atanasijević’s 18-point, including four aces, one block and 54% in attack. The Greek team holds a 2-2 record in Group B, alongside Fenerbahçe, defeated yesterday on the field of Monza, who lead at 4-0.
Crucial matches await in January after the holiday break.
In Pool C, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie secured a commanding 3-0 (25:20, 25:19, 25:18) win over Knack Roeselare, maintaining their unbeaten streak and leading the group. Top performers included Karol Butryn and Aaron Russell, who scored 13 points each, followed by Jurij Gladyr and Mateusz Bieniek who added 11 for the winners, while Erik Siksna scored 10 points for Roeselare. Aluron excelled in attack and from the service line, delivering 7 aces to the rivals’ only two and outblocking them 8-6. Jurij Gladyr was named MVP with an impressive performance through 67% attack success, three aces, and four blocks. This marks Aluron’s fourth win in a row.
On the same Pool, Allianz Milano defeated Hypo Tirol Innsbruck 3-0 (25:19, 32:30, 26:24) in a tight match in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.
Ferre Reggers led the winners with 16 points including 2 aces, 1 block and 54% in attack earning the MVP title. Despite Innsbruck’s solid 54% attack efficiency, Milano’s superior blocking and serving clinched the victory. Milano now looks poised for the next stage with strong performances in their Pool B.
In Pool D, Halkbank Ankara destroy Jihostroj České Budějovice by 3-0 (25:21, 25:23, 25:18) in a crucial win improving their record to 2-2. Their upcoming match against Saint-Nazaire on January 15 could determine their playoff fate.
Close the picture two games of Pool E: Germany’s SVG Lüneburg down Levski Sofia from Bulgaria in straight sets, 3-0 (25:22, 28:26, 25:22), with 13 points each from Xander Ketrzynski and Theo Mohwinkel, while Polish champions astrzębski Węgiel defeated Chaumont VB 52 from France 3-1 (25:20, 24:26, 25:23, 32:30). The match featured intense play and thrilling set finishes. Leading scorers included MVP Łukasz Kaczmarek, with 24 points, Tomasz Fornal, who added 21, and Norbert Huber with 11 for the wunners, while Mathis Henno and Pierre Toledo each scored 18 for Chaumont.
This win secures Jastrzębski’s position atop Group E with a perfect record. Previous victories include 3-0 against Levski Sofia and Chaumont VB, and 3-1 over SVG Luneburg.
