MEVZA League: Maribor win advance of 3rd Round and fly to the top

In last game of 2024 Mevza League, valid as advance of Round 3 (Round 2 started in November will complete on February), OK i-Vent Maribor from Slovenia won on the field of Croatia’s MOK Mursa Osijek with the score of 1-3 (25:23, 23:25, 25:27, 23:25), despite the hosts’ excellent performance in blocking (17 to 10).
Jaka Sešek, absolute top scorer of the match, led the charge with as many as 32 points for the winners, who temporarily fly to the top of the standings at +2 from ACH Volley Ljubljana who, on January 5, will welcome TJ Spartak Myjava from Slovakia.
