Russia: all results of Round 18 – another win for Zenit Kazan and the others…

Round 18 of 2024/25 Russian Superleague has been completed today with the comeback of Yenisey Krasnoyarsk on the field of NOVA Novokuybyshevsk. After dominating first two sets, the hosts suffered the rivals’ comeback, and the game ended with the score of 2-3 (25:20, 25:20, 16:25, 20:25, 6:15).
Zenit Kazan continue to dominate with another straight sets win, this time over Kuzbass Kemerovo, 3-0 (25:14, 25:15, 25:23), to consolidate their leadership, with a +9 from their closest pursuers Belogorie Belgorod, who had a dayoff today, and Dynamo Moscow, victorious over Lokomotiv Novosibirsk by 3-1 (25:16, 26:28, 25:20, 26:24), now both with 38 points in the standings.
Behind them both with 36 points Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and Zenit St. Petersburg, who sweep Dynamo-LO with the score of 3-0 (25:22, 25:19, 25:21), and the same did Fakel Novyi Urengoy on the field of Gazprom-Yugra Surgut, winning their game with the same score, 0-3 (22:25, 23:25, 15:25).
The other two games ended at tie break: ASK Nizhny Novgorod down Dynamo Ural 3-2 (26:24, 20:25, 27:25, 23:25, 19:17) while, on Saturday, last-placed MGTU Moscow earned two very important points prevailing over Neftyanik Orenburg with the score of 3-2 (18:25, 25:23, 23:25, 25:19, 15:8).
