France: head coach Luc Marquet said good bye to Arago de Sète at the end of 2024/25 season

2 min read

Luc Marquet will not continue as head coach of Arago de Sète beyond the 2024/25 season, as the club announced officially.

French expert, who has led the team since the 2022/23 season, will conclude his tenure when his contract expires in June 2025.
The decision comes as the club prepares to launch a new sports project in line with the reopening of the renovated Halle Louis Marty this summer.

“L’Arago, always stronger, always higher,” said club president Alain Bilicki.

Luc Marquet’s coaching journey starting immediately after his playing career, as he led Alès to its first and only Ligue A promotion, coached Bordeaux’s women’s team, and also served as an assistant coach during France’s European Championship win in 2015. He also guided Cannes to a well-deserved French championship title in 2021.

For now, the club extends its full support to current head coach and the team in their bid for playoff success this season, aiming to make a strong finish under his leadership.
