The team from country’s capital is now at 5th place with 46 points.

About today’s game, after a thrilling first set, boosted by Marlon Yant Herrera and Maksim Kosmin, Zenit Saint Petersburg surged ahead with 85% attack efficiency, finishing 25:15. However, third set, the revival for Kemerovi: led by Asparuh Aparuhov 67% in attack, the hosts edged out the rivals 25:22 but, despite a strong push, Zenit secured the win 15:13 with Uladzislau Babkevich delivering the match-winning point.
Sergey Trotskiy, head coach of Kuzbass Kemerovo, acknowledged Zenit’s composure in crucial moments and praised the passionate home crowd. Meanwhile, Zenit’s head coach Vladimir Alekno credited the victory to teamwork despite travel challenges and applauded the rivals for their resilience.
Other results include the straight sets win of ASK Nizhny Novgorod on the field of NOVA Novokuybyshevsk, 0-3 (21:25, 23:25, 22:25), while Belogorie Belgorod down Neftyanik Orenburg with the same result (25:20, 25:21, 25:19).
3 points also for Dynamo Ural, who needed four sets to prevail over Fakel Novyi Urengoy, 3-1 (25:21, 25:21, 30:32, 25:21), and Yenisey Krasnoyarsk, who won on the field of Gazprom-Yugra Surgut with the same result, 1-3 (21:25, 25:18, 25:27, 16:25). Third-placed Lokomotiv Novosibirsk struggled more than expected but eventually down Dynamo-LO at tie break, 3-2 (21:25, 21:25, 25:17, 29:27, 15:13).
The championship follows a double round-robin format, where each team plays opponents both at home and away. The top four teams advance directly to the quarterfinals, while eight more fight for their spot through additional playoff rounds.
