Turkey: all results of Round 24 – Fenerbahçe sweep Halkbank. Ziraat win big match vs Galatasaray also in straight sets

Round 24 of 2024/25 SMS Grup Efeler Ligi has been played entirely today.
Fenerbahçe Medicana secured a commanding straight sets victory over Halkbank, (25:23, 25:21, 25:21), in what was their 16th league victory, strengthening their position in the best four ahead of the playoffs.
Standout performances from Kaan Gürbüz, Earvin Ngapeth, and Yiğit Gülmezoğlu helped the winners to keep the full control of the game and, after the match, the first one emphasized the team’s momentum, while libero Caner Dengin highlighted their strong defensive play.
Meanwhile, Ziraat Bankkart continue to dominate regular season sweeping Galatasaray HDI Sigorta with the same result, 3-0 (25:18, 25:22, 25:19), boasting a -15 from their closest pursuers, Fenerbahçe and Halkbank, both with 45 points in the standings.
Behind them with 43 points Arkas Spor, who down Istanbul Gençlik Spor also 3-0 (25:22, 25:13, 37:35), and straight sets win also for Spor Toto, on the field of Altekma, 0-3 (21:25, 22:25, 20:25).
3 very important points also for Cizre Bld., who won against Türşad with the score of 3-1 (25:22, 25:10, 18:25, 26:24), while last-placed Akkuş Belediyesi prevailed on the field of Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor at tie break, 2-3 (27:25, 21:25, 20:25, 27:25, 14:16).
