Turkey: all results of Round 25 – Ziraat and Halkbank KO!

Round 25 of 2024/25 SMS Grup Efeler Ligi has been played entirely today with some surprising results.
Fenerbahçe Medicana claimed their 17th seasonal win after a hard-fought 2-3 (18:25, 23:25, 25:23, 25:20, 9:15) against Altekma in a five-set thriller. The team, led by Fabian Drzyzga and Earvin Ngapeth, proved resilience after dropping the third and fourth sets but dominated the tiebreak.
In a crucial match before the last round of the regular season, Halkbank suffered a 1-3 (23:25, 25:16, 31:33, 10:25) defeat on the field of Arkas Spor. Despite an intense third set that ended 31-33, Halkbank couldn’t hold off the rivals’ strong performance, and they will now face Bursa BBSK in their last league game.
Defeat also for leaders Ziraat Bankkart, who lose with the score of 3-1 (25:21, 13:25, 25:22, 25:23) on the field of On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor, while last-placed Akkuş Belediyesi sweep Cizre Bld. in just three sets, 3-0 (25:16, 25:17, 25:19). 3 points also for newcomers Istanbul Gençlik Spor, who down Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor by 3-1 (23:25, 25:15, 29:27, 25:18), and Galatasaray HDI Sigorta, who beat Spor Toto in straight sets (25:23, 25:23, 25:18).
Waiting for last round, Efelerligi will continue on Tuesday with a delayed match between Akkuş Belediyesi and Arkas Spor.
