Russia: 1/8 Finals start today without major upsets

1/8 Finals of 2024/25 Russian Superliga started today with first legs without major upsets.
All easy for Zenit St. Petersburg, who closed regular season at fifth place, after beating No.12 ASK Nizhny Novgorod on the road without major problems, after a hard-fought first set, 0-3 (23:25, 19:25, 13:25), and the same did No.7 Dynamo Ural on the field of No.10 Fakel Novyi Urengoy, closing the game with the same result, 0-3 (26:28, 14:25, 18:25).
Predictions respected and straight sets win also for No.6 Dynamo-LO, who sweep No.11 Gazprom-Yugra Surgut with the score of 0-3 (20:25, 11:25, 22:25). Away victory also for No.8 Yenisey Krasnoyarsk, who needed five sets to win over Kuzbass Kemerovo, at ninth place in regular season, 2-3 (23:25, 19:25, 25:15, 26:24, 8:15).
All second leg games on Saturday.
