Italy: what a blow for Lube Civitanova – Captain Fabio Balaso injured during training to undergo hand surgery!

There’s a bad news for Cucine Lube Civitanova as Fabio Balaso, the heart and soul of the team’s defense, has suffered a serious injury that could keep him out for the rest of the season.
During Friday’s training session at the Eurosuole Forum, he had an unfortunate collision with a teammate, injuring his right hand. He was quickly taken to Villa Pini Clinic in Civitanova Marche, where tests revealed a spiral fracture in his fourth metacarpal.
And more bad news for the club, as following updates on his injury, after medical consultations, both the club’s health staff and the athlete agreed that surgery is necessary. The operation, which will involve reduction and osteosynthesis of the fracture, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1st in Modena, and it will be performed by Professor Luigi Tarallo and his team.
