Turkey: Spor Toto and Alanya won Game 1 for 5th Place. Halkbank part ways with head coach Igor Kolakovic!

Games 1 of 2024/25 SMS Grup Efelerligi Playoffs for 5th place started today, both ended in four sets, with the win of No.6 in regular season Spor Toto over No.7 Altekma, 3-1 (22:25, 25:18, 25:14, 25:17), and No.8 On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor who won on the field of No.5 Halkbank by 1-3 (19:25, 21:25, 25:23, 31:33).
After a disappointing season and 5th place in regular season, as well as today’s defeat today, Turkish volleyball giant has officially announced the departure of head coach Igor Kolakovic.

The club confirmed the mutual decision in a statement:
“At the beginning of the season, Igor Kolakovic took over the role of head coach of our team. We have now mutually agreed to part ways.”
