Russia: Zenit Kazan sweep Dynamo-LO to reach final. Zenit St.Petersburg to the final too since 2021/22 season!

2024/25 Superliga’s regular season winners Zenit Kazan has secured a dominant 3-0 semifinal series win over Dynamo-LO, clinching a spot in the final of the competition. In Game 3 in Sosnovy Bor, they showcased again all their superiority with a clean straight-sets victory, partially (20:25, 19:25, 19:25).
This marks their third consecutive finals appearance, as the reigning Russian champions have kept their reputation since missing out on the finals in 2022, and they went on to claim the championship titles in both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons!

Also Zenit St. Petersburg advanced to final, and they did it for the first time since the 2021/22 season, following a hard-fought semifinal series against Belogorie Belgorod. The third and decisive match, played in St. Petersburg, ended with the scors of 3-1 in favor of the home team (25:27, 25:22, 25:18, 25:22).
The entire series was fiercely contested, with each game pushing both teams to their limits.
However, Zenit St. Petersburg showed more resilience, ultimately sweeping the series and booking their spot in the championship round.

The final series will be an exciting clash between Zenit Kazan and Zenit St. Petersburg in a derby that will determine the 2024/2025 SuperLiga champion.
The series will be played in a best-of-five format, with the first two matches taking place in Kazan on April 17 and 19, third game on April 23. If necessary, the fourth and fifth matches will be held on April 25 and 29 respectively.
