Ziraat Bankkart 2025 CEV Cup Champions after a thrilling final win against Resovia

In front of a roaring home crowd at Ankara’s TVF Ziraat Bankkart Sports Hall, the hosts Ziraat Bankkart delivered another amazing performance, defeating Poland’s Asseco Resovia Rzeszow with the score of 3-1 (20:25, 25:17, 28:26, 25:14) to lift the 2024/25 CEV Cup title…as well as the club’s first-ever European title!

Having defeated Resovia at tie break in the first leg in Poland , the Turkish side returned home with momentum and confidence and, despite dropping the first set 20-25, they stormed back with resilience and composure, winning the next three sets to secure the title.
Ziraat Bankkart, who had previously reached the finals in 2018 and 2021 without success, finally breaking their European curse in great style.

The man of the match was American star Matt Anderson, who delivered an amazing performance with 24 points, seasoned by 7 aces, a block, and a 53% success rate in attacks, as well as the MVP honors of the final.
Besides his stellar display, Emre Savaş added 16 points, while bomber Wouter Ter Maat also contributed with 11. On the other side of the net, Resovia’s efforts were led by Bartosz Bednorz, top scorer with 15 points, supported by Stephen Boyer with 12, and Karol Kłos who tallied 11.
