Russia: Zenit-Kazan dominate Game 1 of Final against Zenit Saint Petersburg

The final series of 2024/25 Russian PARI Superliga kicked off today in Kazan, where the hosts Zenit-Kazan, absolute regular season winners, convincingly defeated No.5 Zenit Saint Petersburg in straight sets (25:18, 25:17, 25:21) to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five showdown.
Dmitry Volkov led the charge scoring a match-high 18 points with an impressive 73% in attack, while Sam Deroo and Maxim Mikhaylov added 14 each.
The reigning champions, who now chasing their 13th national title, will host also Game 2 on Wednesday, April 16.
