In “big match” for first place Rana Verona down Valsa Group Modena by 3-1 (25:23, 25:20, 16:25, 25:22), with both sides now sharing the top of the standings with 9 points.
Lorenzo Cortesia made the difference under the net, recording as many as 6 winning blocks, while Noumory Keita and MVP Rok Mozic led the charge with 17 and 16 points (including 5 aces for the latter), respectively.
Behind them with 6 points Allianz Milano, who sweep Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina 0-3 (21:25, 21:25, 23:25) on the road, with 22 points from MVP and top scorer Ferre Reggers.
Close the picture the tie break win of Cisterna Volley over Sonepar Padova, 3-2 (31:29, 22:25, 25:21, 24:26, 15:12), with 32 points from a super Theo Faure!
