Berlin Recycling Volleys have made history of German volleyball once again!
In front of 8,553 fans at Max-Schmeling-Halle, they secured their 15th domestic title with another clear 3-0 victory in decisive Game 3 of best-of-five series against SVG Lüneburg (25:12, 25:23, 25:21).
This win close a remarkable season for the winners, completing a third consecutive national triple—League Cup, DVV Cup, and Championship, and this is the first time a team has achieved this “Triple Triple” in German volleyball!
The team from country’s capital came out strong already in first set and never looked back led by Jake Hanes, who later earned MVP honors. Decisive also Ruben Schott, with decisive serving streaks, and Johannes Tille’s smart plays.
Lüneburg, who competed in their first-ever final, showed resilience and some moments of brilliance, especially in the second and third sets. But this wasn’t enough, and Berlin’s consistence and experience proved too much to snatch at least one game in final series, winning just one set in front of their home fans in Game 2.
