France: all ready for last act!

2 min read

2024/25 Volleyball season in France will deliver its final verdict this weekend, with the second legs of both Marmara SpikeLigue and Ligue B finals.
In both cases, Tours and Ajaccio, who will play in front of their home fans, have taken a strong start over Poitiers and Fréjus, respectively.
However, in this two-match format, in which only victory counts, everything can still change!

At Tours’ Salle Grenon, on Saturday evening, the hosts aim to lift the championship trophy on their home soil hoping for their tenth title, to join AS Cannes to the top of the list.
And they are favorite, of course, after their four-sets-victory in Poitiers, last Saturday.
At the same venue last season Saint Nazaire, a magnificent rookies, had upset Tours in the golden set.
But Poitiers, to do that, they’ll need to play more skillfully, and not only with the attacks of star Nik Mujanovic, who joined them for this season’s end and in his final match in a Poitiers jersey…before joining Tours next season!
At the end of the road, there’s the title, but also the coveted CEV Champions League ticket!

In Ligue B, Ajaccio destroyed Fréjus on the road last Friday with a clean 0-3 (19:25, 19:25, 23:35) and today the decisive second leg!
