Sada Cruzeiro once again proved their dominance in Brazilian volleyball, after a clean 3–0 (25:19, 25:20, 25:17) victory over Itambé Minas to take their seventh Supercopa Masculina de Vôlei title on Sunday night at Guanandizão Arena.
The match, which officially opened the 2025/26 club season in Brazil, brought together the Superliga champion Sada Cruzeiro and the Copa Brasil winner Minas, even though the last one, still chasing their first Supercopa title, couldn’t stop the strong rivals, who controlled the game from the start with strong serves and a solid block.
Also when Minas took an early lead in the second set, Sada Cruzeiro quickly turned things around and never looked back.
Douglas Souza was the man of the match scoring 18 points to his name also earning the VivaVôlei MVP award, while no players on the other side of the net reached a double digit, with Leonardo Lukas who top-scored with nine points.
With titles in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2024, and now 2025 too, Sada Cruzeiro remains the most successful team in Supercopa history.
