Italy: comeback completed – Piacenza down newcomers Cuneo in advance of Round 4!

Round 4 of 2025/26 Superlega CredemBanca started today with the advance between MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, ended with a remarkable 2-3 victory of the visiting side, partially 27:25, 25:18, 15:25, 20:25 and 10:15.
Newcomers Cuneo looked dominant early, taking the opening two sets with great authority however, Piacenza refused to surrender and, led by a decisive Efe Mandiraci, named MVP after scoring 18 points, the visitors mounted a spirited comeback. The match was ultimately decided by a block from Gianluca Galassi, sealing the fifth set and sparking celebrations among the Piacenza supporters.
Cuneo’s Nathan Feral left the court as the match’s top scorer with 22 points, backed by solid efforts from Marko Sedlacek with 12 and Lorenzo Codarin with 11 points. On the Piacenza side, Henri Leon provided a major boost starting from the bench with 12 points, while Robertlandy Simon and José Gutierrez added 11 each.
With the win, Piacenza climbs to five points, drawing level with Cuneo in the standings. The round continues on Sunday, November 2, with several interesting clashes — including Modena vs Perugia and Verona vs Trentino and the derby between Milano and Monza.
