Italy: In advances of Round 6, Cisterna down Monza in a five-sets thriller, Trento beat Cuneo in four sets!

Round 6 of 2025/26 Superlega CredemBanca, played in advance due postponement of 2025 Del Monte®️SuperCoppa, started today with first two games.
Cisterna Volley pulled off a 2-3 (18:25, 25:18, 25:23, 21:25, 13:15) away victory against Vero Volley Monza in an intense battle at the Opiquad Arena.
After more than two hours of play, Cisterna’s resilience and defensive strength proved to be decisive, dominating at the net with 15 blocks, outclassing Monza’s 8, and held their nerve during a thrilling tie-break.
Cisterna opposite Tommaso Guzzo led the charge with 23 points to his name also earning the MVP honors, well supported by Efe Bayram who added 18 and Daniele Mazzone’s 13.
Despite Monza’s fightback, led by Erik Röhrs’ 21 points, the home team couldn’t close it out, also due a contested video-check at the end of the match.
As a result, Cisterna hook up Monza in the standings, now both with 4 points.
In the evening, away win also for Itas Trentino who, after two losses in a
row, back to the success celebrating a 1-3 (25:21, 18:25, 19:25, 23:25) win on the field of newcomers MA Acqua S.Bernardo. The hosts won first set, but then suffered th rivals’ comeback in front of almost 4.000 volleyball fans!
Alessandro Michieletto led the charge with 21 points, well supported by Jordi Ramon, who also contributed with 15 including the point that closed the game, and Theo Faure. On the other side of the net, double digit for Nathan Feral, who left the court with 18, points, Marko Sedlacek and Ivan Zaytsev, who added 15 and 12, respectively.
Round 6 will continue tomorrow with other three games, with Cucine Lube Civitanova who will face Rana Verona in a direct clash for first place, Valsa Group Modena who will welcome Sonepar Padova while, in the evening, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza will face Sir Susa Scai Perugia, and will close on Wednesday, November 19 with the clash between Allianz Milano and Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina.
