France: Montpellier down Toulouse at tie break in advance of Round 6

In advance of 2025/26 Marmara Spike League Round 6, after losing first two sets, second-to-last in the standings Toulouse performed a half comeback against current leaders Montpellier to fall at tie break, 2-3 (22:25, 19:25, 25:16, 31:29, 6:15) in front of their home fans in the derby d’Occitaine.
Wilson Silva was the most prolific player of the match as well as a protagonist of Toulouse’s momentum scoring 26 points through 59% in attack and 7 of his team’s 16 winning blocks (7 for the winners), while Ezequiel Palacios scored 18 points including 2 aces and 2 winning blocks through 64% in attack for Montpellier, now at +4 from their closest pursuers Tourcoing, who will face Saint Nazaire on Saturday.
Simon Hirsch also contributed with 16 points, while Nicolas Le Goff added 11.
Round 6 will continue tomorrow with the clash between Supercup winners Tours and Paris.
