Türkiye: all results of Round 6 – Galatasaray down Fenerbahçe at tie break. Another defeat for Halkbank and the others

2025/26 SMS Grup Efelerligi Round 6 has been closed today with an exciting high-intensity derby in which Galatasaray HDI Sigorta defeated Fenerbahçe Medicana 2-3 (25:22, 22:25, 21:25, 25:17, 16:18) on the road in a thrilling match.
Played at Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall, the clash delivered five competitive sets, with the hosts that opened the match strong by taking the first set, even though Galatasaray responded with back-to-back wins. Although Fenerbahçe forced a decisive tie-break with a dominant fourth set, controlled from start to finish, Galatasaray ultimately held control in the final points to secure a well-deserved victory.
Fenerbahçe’s top scorer was Adis Lagumdzija with 24 points, followed by Yiğit Gülmezoğlu with 17 and Earvin Ngapeth with 15. the winners, Jean Patry led the charge with 21 points, while Thomas Jaeschke and Stephen Maar also contributed 20 points each.
Yesterday no problem for leaders Ziraat Bankkart, who led the competition with 18 points and without a single defeat, who sweep No.2 İstanbul Gençlik Spor Kulübü with a clean 3-0 (25:21, 28:26, 25:18). Current runners-up boasted 14 points in the standings, with only one loss, today!
Straight sets win also for Altekma, 0-3 (21:25, 17:25, 18:25) on the field of Kuşgöz İzmir Vinç Akkuş Belediyespor, and for On Hotels Alanya Bld., who easily beat Gebze Bld. -0-3 (20:25, 21:25, 21:25) also on the road.
After an unexpected defeat against Gaziantep Gençlik Spor Kulübü in previous round, defeated yesterday by Bursa Büyükşehir Bld. with the sfore of 1-3 (19:25, 25:18, 20:25, 22:25), another defeat for Halkbank, this time on the field of İBB Spor Kulübü, also in four sets, 3-1 (25:22, 25:21, 20:25, 25:22), and the same did Spor Toto, who needed four sets too to prevail over last-placed Rams Global Cizre Bld. Spor Kulübü 3-1 (21:25, 25:19, 25:17, 25:22)
Efelerligi will continue on Saturday with all scheduled games of Round 7.
