France: Cannes open Round 8 with a victory in derby against Nice

Round 8 of 2025/26 Marmara Spike League started today with the derby between Nice and Cannes, won in four sets in favor of the visiting side, 1-3 (27:29, 25:18, 15:25, 18:25).
In front of almost 1000 volleyball fans, Cannes won a match with lot of ups and down in both sides, led by Xander Ketrzynski, who left the court with 24 points to his name through 48% in attack, 2 aces and 2 winning blocks. Double digit also for Joao Noleto and Théo Mohwinkel, who also contributed with 15 points each, and for middle blocker James Weir, who added 13 including 4 winning blocks, while setter Kellian Motta Paes earned MVP honors.

Dawid Dulski, top scorer of the match, tallied 25 points through 48% in attack and 2 aces for Nice, that slip to 11th place in the standings with 8 points, at -1 from today’s rivals.
Round 8 will close on Saturday with all the other games.
