Poland: Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Cuprum Stilon Gorzów won delayed games of Round 8 and 4

After the game that closed Round 9, 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other two games.
Started on November 6, Round 4 has been closed today with the game between Barkom Każany Lwów and Cuprum Stilon Gorzów.
Barkom suffered a dramatic 2-3 (25:23, 25:22, 26:28, 17:25, 18:20) after starting strongly, taking the first two sets and holding three match points in the third. The visiting side responded with determination, forcing a tie-break after leveling the match until a thrilling battle, with the Gorzów saving a fourth match point before sealing victory 18-20.
Barkom’s top scorers included Vasyl Tupchii who left the court with 25 points to his name, Julius Firkal with 20 and Illia Kovalov with 19 while, for the winners, Chizoba Neves Atu tallied 24 points and Kamil Kwasowski with 22 earned an MVP performance with 53% attacking efficiency, three aces, one block. Mathis Henno with 19 and Marcin Kania with 14 also played important roles.
In a game valid for Round 8, newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm fell 0-3 (17:25, 24:26, 24:26) to Asseco Resovia, despite coming close in the final two sets. Resovia dominated the opening set with confidence, but the host fought back strongly and earned set points in both the second and third partials. The visitors, however, kept their composure in the decisive moments and secured both sets overtime.
Paweł Rusin led the hosts with 10 points, while Resovia’s attack was led by top scorer Karol Butryn, who recorded 13 points, Mateusz Poręba and standout performer Artur Szalpuk, who added 12 each. The latter, was awarded MVP of the match with an impressive 92% attacking efficiency (11/12), one ace, and 50% positive reception.
The Rzeszów side outperformed Chełm in attack efficiency (64% to 48%) and on the block (8–3), despite both teams struggled with errors—25 from the hosts and 23 from the visitors.
Fragmented Round 8 will close tomorrow with the clash between BOGDANKA LUK Lublin and Energa Trefl Gdańsk while, in the evening, PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów will welcome Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in a game that will close Round 5.
