CEV Cup: 1/16 Finals continues – All results of Wednesday

After the win of Alterna SPVB Poitiers against Panathinaikos Athens, 1/16 Finals of 2025/26 CEV Cup continued today with other 13 games, 5 ended in straight sets.
In Serbia, Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul from Türkiye down the combative hosts Radnicki Kragujevac 0-3 (23:25, 19:25, 36:38), and the same did Belgium’s Tectum Achel, who sweep TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg in Austria 0-3 (22:25, 14:25, 18:25) after just 67 minutes of play, and German powerhouse VfB Friedrichshafen, who also won on the road on the field of Bulgaria’s Levski Sofia, 0-3 (25:27, 21:25, 21:25). Straight sets win also for Greece’s Olympiacos Piraeus over Draisma Dynamo Apeldoorn fron The Netherlands, 3-0 (25:17, 25:23, 25:18), and for Romania’s Dinamo Bucuresti over Lokomotiv Avia Plovdiv from Bulgaria, 3-0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:16), with 18 points from an excellent Mirceu Peta (65% in attack, 2 blocks and 5 aces).
Türkiye’s ON Hotels Alanya Bld. needed five sets to prevail over Vojvodina Novi Sad from Serbia, winning the game with the score of 3-2 (22:25, 25:27, 29:27, 25:22, 15:8), with 15 winning blocks and 26 points from Bardia Saadat (67% in attack, 3 blocks and 3 aces), just like Croatia’s MOK Mursa Osijek who, in front of their home fans, beat OK Alpacem Kanal from Slovenia 3-2 (22:25, 25:19, 21:25, 25:14, 15:10).
Polish powerhouse JSW Jastrzebski Węgiel won in Hungary against MÁV Foxconn Székesfehérvár in four sets, 1-3 (24:26, 25:17, 12:25, 18:25) with 16 points from Łukasz Kaczmarek, and four sets away win also for ČEZ Karlovarsko from Czech Republic over Greece’s AONS Milon Athens, 1-3 (25:22, 22:25, 17:25, 27:29).
At Pala Pirastu in Cagliari, after losing first set, Italy’s Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza prevailed over Jihostroj České Budejovice from Czech Republic without major problems, 3-1 (24:26, 25:14, 25:19, 25:13), with 13 winning blocks, 15 aces (5 only with the signature of José Gutierrez) and 18 points from top scorer Alessandro Bovolenta.
Four sets home win also for Switzerland’s Volley Schönenwerd over CSM Corona Brasov from Romania, 3-1 (25:22, 21:25, 25:23, 27:25), The Netherlands’ Orion Stars Doetinchem over Volley Amriswil from Switzerland too, 3-1 (20:25, 25:19, 25:19, 25:16), and for Belgium’s Greenyard Maaseik over Tourcoing Lille Métropole from France, 3-1 23:25, 25:23, 25:22, 25:15), with 16 winning blocks and 26 points from absolute top scorer Sil Meijs (59% in attack, 1 ace and 2 blocks).
