Club World Championship 2025: preliminary phase is over – semifinals match-ups completed!

Italian powerhouse Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia brought an early end to defending champions Sada Cruzeiro’s path at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship, sweeping the Brazilian champions in just three sets.
In a Pool B encounter at the Mangueirinho Arena, Perugia delivered a 3–0 victory (25:19, 25:23, 25:21), eliminating the five-time world champions from semifinal contention.
The result marked Perugia’s third win of the pool stage, ensuring the European champions to the top of their group with a perfect record.
Outside hitter Kamil Semeniuk led the charge for the winners, leading all scorers with 16 points. Despite a valiant effort from Welinton Oppenkoski, who scored 14 points, the Brazilian side was unable to halt Perugia’s momentum. The defeat means the Brazilian club, one of the most decorated teams in Club World Championship history, will miss the semifinals for only the third time in 13 appearances. Perugia now advance to the semifinals, remaining unbeaten in the competition they previously won in 2022 and 2023.
Behind them, Osaka Bluteon from Japan, who sweep Swehly Sports Club also in straight sets (22:25, 23:25, 21:25).
In Pool A, polish powerhouse Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie sweep Praia Clube with a clean 0-3 (19:25, 9:25, 14:25) to top the Pool, while at second place Volei Renata, who sweep Al-Rayyan Sports Club with the same result, 0-3 (18:25, 29:31, 20:25).
