France: penalty for Ajaccio and -3 points in the standings!
1 min read
Facing a one-point penalty which had already forced the club to part ways with a player, GFCA Ajaccio has now been heavily penalized by the DNACG (Direction Nationale d’Aide et de Contrôle de Gestion) with €9,000 fine and -3 points in the standings.
The reason?
Excessive use of equity and the need to establish a reserve fund to bolster the club’s finances.
Treasurer Sylvestre Sammarcelli denounces the sanction as disproportionate, hitting the club with the smallest budget in the MSL (Moroccan League League), even though the club has no debts or salary arrears.
GFCA will appeal to the High Council.
