Italy: Round 15 completed – Verona down Trento in big match, Perugia alone to the top! Civitanova, Piacenza and Milano ok

3 min read

After the advance played yesterday, in which MA Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo sweep Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, Round 15 of 2025/26 Superlega CredemBanca or, if you prefer, Round 4 of second leg, has been completed today.
Rana Verona pulled off one of the season’s biggest surprises performing an amazing comeback from two sets down to defeat Itas Trentino 2-3 (25:20, 25:20, 22:25, 18:25, 13:15) and reshaping the race to the top of the standings.
Noumory Keita led the charge with 29 points to his name through 63% in attack, 2 aces, 2 blocks and MVP awards.
The winners kept their nerve at the tie-break to hand Trentino a rare home loss, a result that dropped the hosts from first place and tightened the standings among the contenders.
The door, in fact, opened for Sir Susa Scai Perugia, which moved two points clear to the top after a 3-1 (27:25, 19:25, 25:21, 25:20) home victory over Valsa Group Modena.
At home, Cucine Lube Civitanova continued their perfect run in front of their home fans with a 3-0 (25:17, 27:25, 30:28) hard-fought win over Sonepar Padova, closing out tight moments late in each set, while Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza strengthened their hold on fourth place with a 3-0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:15) easy win against Vero Volley Monza, while Allianz Milano beat Cisterna Volley 3-1 (25:19, 25:21, 30:32, 25:21).
