France: Mauricio Paes new head coach of Paris Volley?

Nikola Matijasevic will be no longer head coach of Paris Volley next season, 2026/27.
In charge of the club since December 2023, after succeeding the dismissed Italian expert Fabio Storti, he led the team from 2023 to 2026.
Since 2023, Paris finished eighth in 2023/24 season, before being eliminated in the quarterfinals with a 3-0 defeat, and then ninth in the 2024/25 season. Paris currently sit at 11th place after 17 rounds of the championship this season.
According to our sources, he will replaced by Mauricio Paes, former coach of the club and recently in South Korea.
Born in Brazil, 62-years-old, head coach, as well as father of Kellian Motta Paes (currently the setter of Cannes), is very familiar with the club, as he served as assistant coach between 2005 and 2007, then as head coach from 2007 to 2011.
More recently, he coached the South Korean club Seoul Woori Card WooriWON.
This season, Mauricio Paes, could join Chaumont until the end of the ongoing season to replace Silvano Prandi.
