France: DNACG confirms sanctions against Ajaccio
2 min read
2025/26 Marmara Spike League club Ajaccio announced today, via an official statement, that the appeal filed several weeks ago against the sanctions imposed on December 17, 2025 by the CACCP (Commission for Aid and Control of Professional Clubs) has been reviewed by the DNACG (National Directorate for Aid and Management Control), and this is an unfavorable verdict.
Already struggling in a particularly competitive season, and penalized by numerous injuries and absences, the newcomers Corsican team has suffered a real blow in their fight to avoid relegation, as the DNACG has confirmed all the sanctions: -3 three points in the standings, the continued capping of the salary budget (at €313,000) for the current season, and a total recruitment ban until the end of the season.
The only change is that the fine, initially set at €9,000, that has been reduced to €4,000.
These measures are explained by what is considered excessive depletion of the club’s equity and the need to establish a reserve fund to strengthen its financial stability.
Either way Ajaccio stated that they will appeal to the CNOSF (French National Olympic and Sports Committee) already tomorrow to defend their rights.
Meanwhile, they will have to continue fighting to avoid relegation. A delicate task, since with nine matchdays remaining in the regular season, they are now four points behind the second-to-last teams in Marmara SpikeLigue, Chaumont and Saint Nazaire, both with 15 points.
